Indy Fever hits the Gold Coast once again with the 18th staging of Queensland's premier annual event. Dates for the 2008 event are October 23-26. This years Gold Coast Indy 300 is set to offer more excitement than ever with four days and nights of on and off track action.

On track will be the IndyCar action plus the local V8 Supercars, Porche Carrera Cup and more. Off track will be an endless array of action from official events through to all the entertainment hotspots that Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach offer.

The atmosphere is electric as Champ Cars fly by at 300km per hour, V8 Supercars rev up their 620 horsepower engines, RAAF F1-11s ignite overhead on afterburn, drivers and celebrities meet their fans, the circuit is filled with people of all ages and interests, and parties continue off the track day and night. And that is just the start!

The Gold Coast absolutely explodes at Indy and accommodation, especially on track accommodation or apartments with track views, should be booked some time in advance to secure. Booking in advance can sometimes save some cash as everything seems to go up prior to the event. For apartments on track you will require special passes to access your accommodation, so be sure to aquire these. If Surfers or Main Beach is booked out, or outside your budget take a look at Broadbeach and Mermaid Beach which are still close, by transport, to the track.

Transport:
With the massive influx of visitors transport systems are stretched beyond limit. Airport transfers should be booked well in advance and expect to strike delays with traffic congestion. If you are driving to the event, parking is provided in outer lying suburbs and shuttles will run you to the track although plan for congestion and delays.
